I am having allsorts of problems with my windows XP at the moment. Have decided to try to repair the installation but my disk wont start automatically. Went into my start menu to do it manually and my 'run' command has disappeared!!!! Not sure how long its been gone.....is there anyway I can get it back?

Try this:
Right click on the Start button, then select Properties, then Customise.
Scroll down and put a check mark in the Show Run entry.
N.B.If you're using the new Start panel, its on the Advanced tab.

are you saying your CD won't start automatically (auto start) ?? If so, just select the drive from 'My Computer', double click it, or open via windows explorer, and find the exe file you want and double click that.

Probably got this all wrong - - - I'll get me coat !!
