Roxio versus Nero

My PC is achieving near maximum copying speeds (CD/R) using Nero.

However I have had to install inCD as it was causing problems and updating it seemed to make it worse and I need a CD/RW formating program on my PC.

I use Roxio Easy-CD 6 at work to format CD/RW disc's and these run fine on my home PC. If I switch to Roxio am I likely to experience a drop in copying speed as Nero is the fastest I have seen. Also is the latest version 7 any faster than 6?

Oops! Should be "uninstall inCD"

What problems were you experiencing with InCD?

The Systemax OEM Win XP on my PC has some Roxio software embedded in it, erasing disc's for example. I think this the main cause of the software problems.

InCd would sometimes activate itself while copying disc's causing the process to fail.

Also the Nero formated CD/RW disc's are very slow to load. This seems to caused by a Windows and inCd conflict as well. Unchecking Allow CD recording on this drive, to stop Windows, caused other new problems.

The same CD/RW disc formated by Roxio loads instantly.

I have tied installing and removing inCd twice with the same results now.
