routers and firewalls

Hi all
i am going to set up a wireless system (1 PC 1laptop) which will be linked via a wireless adsl router. I have always used a software firewalls on my pcs but the routers are avertised as haveing builtin firewalls, do I need to run the pc and laptop firewall if the router has one builtin ? thank you for any help

A router's hardware firewall offers good protection against unwanted intrusions from the internet. What it doesn't do is to control which programs in your PC are allowed to access the internet.

It is generally suggested that you continue to use a software firewall in order to control outgoing internet traffic.
