Looking to change my ailing Solwise router. I have a single PC on broadband max connection for home and business, no games, just email/surfing. Would prefer wired router which is easy to set up. Any advice much appreciated.

For ease of set up I'd advise a Netgear DG834 or DG834G for wireless...you may not need wireless but the price isn't much more.

I'd agree with Dipso but considering security and speed issues I'd stick to wired. The router is a breeze to set up, I've got two machines networked on mine and to date no probs.

Cheers

Many thanks for all the info. Am now checking these out but think I will stick to wired.

I use a Linksys WAG54GS and have used the above Netgear, both were simple to set up but I find port forwarding of the Linksys simpler to configure.

I agree with Dipso & csquared. Netgear products are reliable.
