Hello

I recently added a router to my cable connection and i am experiencing some problems with the port forwarding settings which are causing me trouble
I am sure the router is set up correctly because i can use the internet as normal, get my emails etc etc but when i set up the NAT port forwarding and enter the port numbers which my server uses the logging in times out
i have tried to set it up with a few other server progs i use and the problem is present all the time
If i use my local LAN IP (192.168.xxx.xxx) i can login fine, when i use my isp assigned IP address,i get connection time out errors.Friends have also tried logging in and they cannot.
I have tried using the DMZ option on the router and this also denies me logging in!!!

Can anyone help?

(the router is a ST LAB xDSL/Cable Modem type)
