Rotating MOV files

Have a few short MOV files of granddaughter taken with camera rotated vertically. Clips need rotating from portrait aspect to landscape for comfortable viewing. Any advice on a prog to enable this? Not keen on downloading Quicktime Pro 7 after reading many negative comments. OS is XP Home.

Try TMPGENC > click here <

A basic interface, but does the job well.

Thanks guys for the useful info. Windows Movie Maker looks interesting but does not appear to like MOV files so am presently following Rigga's suggestion and trying to change the format using TMPGENC.

Following the prompts above I looked again at just what I had on my PC and having recently installed a webcam, I looked at Arcsoft's Video Impressions which had come with it. This enabled me to easily change the format of the clip and then I downloaded it into Windows Movie Maker, where I am now playing about with different effects.
After more than 24 hours ferreting about , success at last is very sweet. Thanks again.
