roland pc300 midi keyboard

Quite simply - how do I get this to work? It is connected via the USB and although it comes with a DIN plug (assume it goes into midi out on the keyboard)I have a built in sound board on the PC. The software (cubase) registers the pressing of keys on the midi but I cannot here anything. Am I missing something obvious here?

On cubase's Arrange window, have you tried different settings under the Output column? (Click on the entry in the Output column to see if there are alternatives).

Also, check that you haven't got midi muted (or the volume too low) in your sound control panel.
