Roku Soundbridge & BSOD

I have a Roku Soundbridge M1001, which worked perfectly but now throws my pc into a fit of blue screen and the message PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
Stop 0x0000004E. I have googled this and it appears to be corrupt files caused by Windows Media Connect. Unfortunately, it is some time since I last used the device so I can't tell what's changed since it worked OK. Any help appreciated.

Is WMC up to date? There was a relatively recent update.

I think the version is 5.1.2600.2771, as far as I can tell.

For those of you who might be interested, I've found the problem. A few weeks ago I removed the Norton firewall and antivirus (because the subscription had expired) in favour of AVG professional and the Nvidia active armour firewall. It was the firewall that needed to be configured (not easy!).
