RMVB to AVI format

hello there

i recently upgraded to real player 10. And it changed all my avi files to rmvb... i was wondering if i can chnage them back to AVI format? i tried to rename the file.... but my divx player still not accept those...
i need them on avi format in order to play them on my standaone dvd player which supports divx

this may sound silly but have you tried right mouse clicking on it and select always open with windows media player and then tick the box hope this helps??

Sounds to me that Real Player has changed some of the file associations on your PC. This is quite common when upgrading or instaling media software. If you right click on one of these rmvb files and look at the properties you will see that they are still avi files. Let me know if this is the case and I'll tell you what to do mext.
