Hi

Everytime I right click on a file or folder I get the "Internet Exporer has encountered a problem and needs to close" message, does anyone have ideas why my PC is doing this.

Cheers

IE is the same as Windows Explorer so these things happen.

From start open Run and type this.....

C:\Windows\inf

This takes you to the INF files. Find this...

"iereset.inf"

Right click on it and select "install".

The above c:\ will only work if Windows is installed on the C drive. Use D:\ or whatever your drive letter is.

If spikeychris's suggestion doesn't work try running the system file checker:

start, run, type SFC /SCANNOW (note the space) and hit ok.

You might be asked for your windows cd, so have it to hand.
