can anyone please tell me if there is a way to download a jpeg from a website where the webmaster has decided to right-click disable the image?

If you have FrontPage this is easy. Go to Tools, Internet Options, and select the Programs tab in Internet Explorer. Make sure that HTML editor is FrontPage. Now load the website in question up, and go to View, Source in IE. FrontPage should load up, and you will be able to save the image in 'Normal' view.

That was wrong....

That may not work.

Just open FrontPage and go to File, Open. Now type in the full URL, (incl. http://) and click open. Now, in the Normal View, you will be able to see the image.

don't have front page...is there anyway using IE on its own?

In IE, go to 'Tools', 'Internet Options', and click the 'Settings' button in the Temporary Internet Files section. Then click 'View Files' in the Settings menu panel. Bingo, Explorer will display all the files in your cache.
