Can anyone suggest how to solve this problem. I want to store my photo's on cd. But everytime I write them to the rewriter it does'nt accept it.
It will read a disk, but when a blank is put in I get the message "E drive not accessible". I am using XP professional and have been through the trouble shooter with no succewss.

Are you using the XP built in burner routine?
If so disable it and install a popoular burn programm -Nero for choice.

Or perhaps you ARE using a third party burn program and the XP burn routine is still 'on'
turn it off

As always the answer is in the help file
Go to 'My Computer' Click on help
Go to the help centre and in the question field
type 'burner' or 'CD writer'
and See what comes up

I don't know if this will help but see if this works -
There is a registry key for each CD drive which can be set to enable or disable recording on the device. It is at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD Burning\Drives

My CD rewriter was set to 3 (disable recording). I set it to 2 and now I have the Recording tab back for that drive.
