Return of the Windows 98SE Logon

I am getting the logon window at every startup ....

It says that "if you don't enter a password, you won't get this screen again", but I still get it.

It did go away recently (presumably as part of windows "intelligence") but now it's back :o(

Also, on it's return, I have to logon each time for outlook express and websites (including this one).

Any ideas ?? Thanks.

Get Tweak UI from click here this allows you to turn the logon of. To install after downloading to a Folder where you remember double click the file to extract it, watch where it put's the files as you have to right click on the .INF file and use install the program will be in the control panel

One option:

do a search for files called *.pwl

delete them

reboot

when the logon screen appears again, leave it blank, but click ok.

That "should" be the end of it.

woodchip, I already had 'TweakUI' installed - had to "disable the clear last user option under the Paranoia tab" - my fault for not doing so, it is quite clear.

Diodorus Siculus, I have deleted all password files for good measure.

Just re-booted and NO LOGON SCREEN !!!!

Thanks guys for the speedy response.
