Retaining a database link

I am in the process of re-designing this site -
click here - it was designed in FP, and I am constructing the new site in Dreamweaver.

My question concerns the database, which is accessed from the "advisor login" at the bottom of the home page. The bureau are keen to keep this facility, and I'm wary of breaking the link. It is as simple as retaining the hyperlink, and not deleting the files from the server when I load the new site?

is running in MySQL?

What's behind the username/password challenge, is it some kind of data entry page?

FE- thanks for the reply. We've decided to abandon the database in the new site.
