Restoring corrupt Windows Media Player

My PC got infected with the MyDoom virus some time ago. Although I disinfected it, and thought everything was cleared up, I have since passed the PC on to my daughter who finds she can't play audio CDs or games as wmp.exe has been removed because it is now corrupted.
I'm running Office 2000 on Windows 98 - how do I restore wmp please? Any help gratefully received.

Put your Windows 98 cd in the tray. Go Start > Run and type SFC in the box. Okay that and your system files will be checked to sse they are in order. If prompted to restore wmp.exe just click okay.

Thanx JoeC. Will try and report back.

I don't seem to have a Windows 98 CD or floppy - the PC is (relatively) old, I bought it from Dell at least 5 years ago, and I guess it came with Windows 98 preinstalled. Any ideas what I can do now? Thanx!
