hi guys and gals.....
hope someone can help here ....
i have been given an evesham laptop and restore disk
to restore to factory settings and the restore disk is only giving the operating system when booted from the disk there a key combo needed to start the restore process ????
otherwise i'll have to spend all day getting all the drivers and !!!! anyone? Dave.

Before you try booting with the recovery disc, try your F11 maybe F10 keys on startup.

Not sure about Evesham pc's but i would hope there is a recovery partition that is hidden, this should give 3 options.

1) Restore to factory settings (Destructive)
2) Recover without dataloss
3) Repair

You may have different options if indeed the recovery partition is there.

Shut down the pc and reboot tapping F11 (maybe a different key)

This should reload any preinstalled software.

This all assuming it has a recovery partition that is hidden.

Though you may have to update certain drivers.

thanks skidzy....
tried all the f keys no joy .....there is a hidden partition called eisa utilities so there must be a key combo... will look for a manual online
