reseting netgear

hey
ive been having a problem with my router few a few days as it wont connect to msn messneger, hotmail.com and msn homepage or any microsft site, but i can acess any other websites through the router. It isnt my computer as i used my laptop around my friends house and could access msn. ? just a few hours ago.

can anybody help me to reset my router (netgear dg834g v3)
do i need to turn it off then reset it
or reset it then turn it off
or log into the router page then reset to factory settings.

You can either press in the reset button ( recessed into rear of router ) while it is powered on , or reset to default settings by logging in and going to the required page .

thanx i managed to reset the router but it still wont connect me to msn or any msn sites?
but i can get on other sites?
has this happend to anybody else or does anyone who how to fix this problem

If your router has been reset , and you know that your laptop works Ok elsewhere then I would get in touch with your ISP and ask if they are having any problems at their end . Tell them what you have done and that it works at your friends house and they should investigate the problem .
