Can anyone tell me what resetting the CMOS on the motherboard would do? Will this solve display problems? Can anyone talk me through the process?

I have a black screen that windows thinks is ok?

I am repeating myself from an earlier posting but I am desperate to fix it!!

NO - dont do this!

I have read your other post and you seem to have done all that I could suggest - starting in safe mode etc.

Resetting the CMOS will just delete all the entries in the Bios and your problem seems to be most definately a driver issue!

I will post to the other thread with a suggestion that has just come to mind!
