so far all ive looked at is

Hauppauge HVR 2200 MCE Dual Hybrid

i cant see anything else significantly better, but then im not really familiar with any other brands

That one will do you fine - IMHO Hauppauge is the best for TV Cards.

it seems to have good ratings, just wondered if there was a cheaper one thats as good

If you live in the UK, get one with dual digital tuners instead if you can, as analogue will be completely phased out in 1-2 years. I think they are cheaper too.

Compro cards aren't too bad & usually cheaper as well click here.

I've got a Hauppauge too, but I've heard the best TV cards are make by BlackGold click here.

the black gold seems good too, but no reviews

ok so theres the black gold and hauppauge dual dvb-t brands which are both about £90 without remote [not a major issue since i got microfoft wireless bluetooth 8000 keyboard]

and then a raft of others about half the price

compro - have heard more bad than good
k-world
*msi
asus

these seem to be the only models out there for pci-e 1x

hy the massive void in price - ie 50%
