I have recieved an e-mail from a friend, and I have copied the his address into Outlook, by ckicking on his e-mail address and then "Add contact to Outlook".

However, when I come to send a new e-mail, I add his address, then send but I get an e-mail bacl from [email protected] saying

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. - host said: 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected his email .plus.com"

I am with BT Yahoo, and he is wth plus.com

Can anyone shed any light as to what the problem may be?

Have you tried copying his address in longhand and then entering it manually to see if it works that way?

Yes, tried typing e-mail address in longhand and same results.

If he has typed his email address incorrectly into his email program's settings, nobody will be able to reply to him as they will only see the wrong address.

That error message suggests the problem is at the recipients end.
