REPLACING PENTIUM 3 MOTHERBOARD & REINSTALLING XP

My Pentium 3 motherboard has failed and I have found 2 Asus Pentium 3 motherboards

Asus TUV4X/533/W0A/6P-UAY and
Asus M/B810ATX offboard chipset (what does that mean?

Will either or both fit a standard tower?

When I replace the motherboard I will have to reinstall Windows XP and am worried that I may lose my settings. How do I re-install without losing the settings.

Thanks

Mombasa

Sorry I don't know about the motherboards. But if you are keeping your hard drive you should not have to re-install. Saying that, you may need to re-register xp with microsoft.

The tuv4x is 8"x12", dont know the other board though, as for your xp installation you may encounter some problems and prefer to prepare beforehand, check the link for more details.
