Replacing Nnort bridge fan

  Migwell 02:20 14 Dec 03

I have bought a Zalman heatsink for my north bridge chip as the fan on it makes a noise like good old Concord taking off from Heathrow. Problem is I can't seem to get the fan casing off the motherboard which is an Asus A7V226E any ideas. Up to now the only way I can see is to take the mother board out of the computer and ease the little grabs out from behind. Can anyone think of a better way as that seams to be a lot of work for so small a job?

Second problem is the noise of the main cooler on the CPE I was thinking of a Zalman flower to cool my 1700XP processor any comments about that
