Replacing missing DLL

i have just d/loaded a Dll file from
it is on my desktop in Zip form,when i unzip it & apply it,i still get a message saying its missing ...can anyone help me? (i have limited knowlage) WS2_32.DLL

Where are you unzipping it to? It's probably sitting in the wrong place so your system doesn't see it. Winzip offers you a directory to unzip to (often called, imaginatively, "unzipped"), so if you can find the file there try, in Windows Explorer, copying (so you can try again if it fails, or delete it if it works) and pasting into your Windows\System folder.

If that's not its' proper home, no doubt someone else will post and advise where it should live..

Dll's normally go in ether System folder, or in the program folder they belong to
