Replacing ink cartridges for Epson C70

I am trying to replace a black Jettec ink cartridge into an Epson Stylus C70 printer. This is supposed to be compatible with the printer. Everything appears to be installed correctly. However, this does not seem to work and the red "ink out" light remains on the printer.

Please can somebody help?

No. I've left all the cartridges in the printer at the moment.

Im sorry have I misunderstood the question ..I thought youde replaced the cartridge in question then it didn't work..! . Ok can you be a little more exact with the problem ? You dont know how to change the cartridge ??

I think the problem is the C70 uses "chipped" carts. The copies might not work properly and reset the printer when inserted.
