Replacement Laptop Battery - different voltage

  Version 1 14:58 05 May 10

Looking at replcaing old -dead- laptop battery (HP nx5000).

I can get the same 6 cell at 11 volts or

I can get an 8 cell at 14 volts

I am tempted with 8 cell for additional life as the price difference is £5.

But, I am worried about the voltage change - is it ok?

Batteries with different Milliamp-hours can be used on the same laptop provided the voltage rating is the same. The voltage rating has to match that of the original battery or as recommended by the computer manual. Using a battery with a different voltage setting can seriously damage the laptop.

Contact Global Batteries with an Email or Phone them with your detail of requirements and you should be able to get what you need.

I have bought two laptop batteries recently (1 for daughter) and found a good price as well.

They a based in GB.
