I wonder if someone can please give me some advice. My Pc which was new in Jan this year has just had its second graphic card fail.
I have returned the Pc to the builder who tells me the card has to go back to the manufacturer for tests and will take several weeks of before it is replaced.
The original card was a Gainward GF4 Ti4800se 8xAG 128mb vivo he has offered me a FX5200 replacement saying it is a better card, I am not that technically minded but can someone confirm my thinking that the 4800 is a lot better card?
The Pc is mainly used for games and somE video editing Athlon 2400 512mb Asus A7V8X M/B.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Take a look at these test results click here and I think it will confirm your thinking. The 4800 is a better performing card than the 5200

the older card is much better - really he should be offering something along the lines of ATi radeon 9500 pro - to - ati radeon 9700. Or if it is a geforce then geforce 5600 ultra - to - geforce 5800.
