Replace Orange Bright box wireless router with Asus RT- N66U

I have bought an Asus RT-N66U wireless router to replace my Orange Bright box. Reading the instructions, it says to connect it via WAN to my modem. Do I now need to by a modem or do I connect it via the Bright box? Does the Asus not have a built in modem? The idea of getting the Asus was to replace the Bright box entirely as it was forever dropping out. Thanks. Alan.

Yes. Easiest option is to take back and ask for a modem router. Bit more expensive though (an Asus one is 80 quid, but there are other cheaper makes).

So the advice is to change the router. Does anyone recommend going down the separate modem route? Dray tech vigor??? Any problems if I take this route? Thanks. Alan.

Just checked out the RT-AC68U and it looks like this requires a modem as well. Alan
