Thanks for the info re'irritable fault', this disappeared following MAJ's suggestion. We have recently bought a Photoshop 7 magazine Focus Guide plus CD, on trying to open the files on this disc we get 'no disc in drive' again. This has only happened with this disc, other magazine discs work OK. We tried it on another computer, it worked first time, the next time we got 'no disc in drive'. We now get the message 71c:qttask.exe-no disc in drive every time on start-up on this disc was exchanged at WH>Smths for a new one, but this behaves exactly the same.It is almost impossble to remove this message. What is happening any ideas?A phone call to Future Publishing, did not help, they say it maybe a faulty disc.

sounds like a faulty CD Drive.

At today's price's I would suggest a replacement would be a CD writer rather than a CD reader.

The only other suggestion I have is to try a Cd cleaner in the suspect drive.
