Repairing old scanned photos

Can anyone recommend some good software for repairing old scanned photos.removing creases, scratches etc.

Paintshop pro is a good one. use the cloning tool to repair scratches etc

MGI Photosuite extensively. It produces excellent results. I have scanned hundreds of old photos for relatives / friends and retouched them by taking out creases, scratches, tears, missing bits, and scars / tattoos of people. It's a cracking programme. : }

MGI Photosuite is excellent for doing this.

I can't stand the program for most things myself but for ease of use and ability to do this sort of job it's very good.

I use Paintshop pro, but there are freeware alternatives that will do the job as well. click here for PhotoPlus 5.0 or click here for VicMan photo editor 7.0
