Removing Yahoo Toolbar from Firefox Browser

The Yahoo toolbar always appears on my homepage. I can't alter it to Google on my internet options - it no longer allows me.

I followed these instructions:

In Firefox, click Tools | Add-ons.
Click Extensions.
Select Yahoo! Toolbar.
Click Remove.
Restart Firefox.

The Yahoo toolbar does not appear as an option on 'Extensions'. Any other way I can remove it?

Mcheathen: see the post below about Chrome home page, and my answer. Does that point you in the right direction?

Um... chub_tor: isn't that precisely what he said he'd done in the UP - without success? That's what mad em think his browser had been hi-jacked.

Sorry, that was rubbish. Let me try again.
