Removing text from the Title bar of IE

How do I get rid/edit the text on the title bar of Internet Explorer? e.g. At the moment it's saying "PC Advisor - Expert Advice you can trust| Discusssion - Tiscali 10.0" How can I make it say "PC Advisor - Expert Advice you can trust | Discussion"?

I've managed to do this on another PC using Spyware Blaster, is it possible to make such alterations without using that software?

Thanks, Charence

If you are comfortable using regedit, then the full address containing the suffix text for the title bar is;

My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Window Title

Double clicking on the 'Window Title' text will bring up a dialogue box and you can change the text (which will be 'Tiscali 10.0') to anything you want. It will appear (or not, if you delete it!) the next time you start IE.

Or, if you have SpywareBlaster, you can change the title from the IE tag to whatever you wish.

The branding can also be removed without touching the Registry with IE's built-in method:

Close all browser windows and applications.

Start>Run.

Type in:

rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear.

(It's best to copy and paste the line as the space is important)

Click OK.

Sorry, just spotted Djohn's similar offering...:-(

About three years ago I posted this tip in the Telepgraph's F!F!F! column and got dozens of e-mails expressing grateful thanks.
