Removing a Program via the registry

  WillowSL 16:28 04 Nov 05

The Orlogix Gamedrive on the Nov 2005 CD didn't install properly on a Windows 98 machine. It does not appear in Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel and does not have an entry on the Programs on the Start bar. Hence there is no obvious way to uninstall it. Since trying to load it the computer keeps crashing. Can I just delete every reference to Farstone (the manufacturer) in the registry or will I regret that? Any help much appreciated.

Look for a directory for the program under Program Files first and see if there is an uninstaller there. Double click it and see if it works.

If PaulB2005 suggestion doesn't help, download CCleaner (click here) this will help remove any unused files.
