Removing printer driver

  cruiser2 08:55 08 Aug 10

I am getting a new printer. Before I install the software for the new printer I want to remove the programmes for the old printer an Epson BX300F. This developed a fault and I am getting a replacement from PC World.
I am getting a message "Printer driver cannot be deleted". Have tried several times to do this without success.
Any help much appreciated.

Go to device manager, click on the printer and then uninstall driver.

Maybe open the Printers and faxes icon in Control Panel, then click File, Server Properties, Drivers tab, select the printer from the list of installed printer drivers then click Remove.

Thank you for your reply which I have copied. Cant print it so have had to hand write it for future reference.
As I no longer have the printer I cannot do the first instruction which says the printer should be turned on.
Can I start the next section or will I corrupt my computer?
Many thanks

Go to printer Folder Start\Settings\Printers right click your printer and Delete it. Also in Control Panel Add Remove Programs delete the Printer Software
