I got rid of Nortan internet security 2003 a few weeks ago but despite removing all Nortan and Symantec files using add and remove files and regedit ther is still a Symantec live update symble when I open up the controle panel. How do I get rid of it?

Somewhere on the Symantec website I have seen a program to completely remove the program. Have a look for now and I will look later if you dont find it.

The left over file will be in Windows/System32/ and be a file ending .cpl, it just needs deleting but I don't know what the exact file name is.

Did you try uninstalling LiveUpdate using Add or Remove Programs? What to do if that fails click here.

To fully remove NIS2003 (if required), first use Rnav2003 click here, then Rnisupg click here. G
