Removing MS Outlook as default for emails

I have MS Office 97 and am frustrated because I always use latest version Outlok Express for my emails. When I click on an address up comes a window asking me to choose MS Outlook and there is no alternative in the drop down. Can anyone help me to banish MS Outlook as my email server in favour of Express. Many thanks

Internet Explorer, Tools > Internet Options, Programs tab, Select Outlook Express for e-mails.

Thank VoG. I have done that but the drop down when you get to 'programs' only lists MS Outlook so you have no choice. Mail is registered as Outlook Express though. Thanks

Many thanks VoG It has worked and Express has appeared as an option that I have now chosen. Remains to be seen whether I lose it again when I reboot. Very grateful.
