Removing immovable folders

  Hofnar 13:44 01 Oct 05

After having used Partition Magic to merge drives, I've ended up with 3 empty folders on my D: drive. I've tried to remove those but I'm not allowed. Those are "Read Only" folders. I've changed that, but still can't move or delete them. Anyone know if it is possible or am I just wasting my time trying?

Have you tried starting in safemode and deleting them.

If you are using Windows XP, because you haven't said, you may have to "take ownership" of the folders in order to be able to delete them, per this Microsoft article - click here

Tried Safe Mode. That didn't work either. Now with mgmcc 's help the problem is solved. Thanks for your help
