Removing default boot screen..

I have 2 partitions, with windows 98 and windows XP pro.. And i have always had the normal black and white boot screen.. asking which OS i would like to use.
I have installed PowerQuest BootMagic, and now when i start my CPU, i get the bootmagic screen.. then i select the OS i want, but the default black and white still appears with my choice of OS's.. meaning i have to select the OS twice.
How do i stop the old black and white boot screen from appearing, and just have my bootmagic screen?

control panel/system/advanced/start up and recovery/settings/ and untick the box that says time to display a list of operating systems.
