Removed attachment

Last evening I sent a pdf file as an attachment to a friend. We are both BT Broadband and BT Yahoo Premium Mail. On this basis we are entitled to attach a single file up to 10MB in size. This particular one was 5.28MB.

My friend had a message
OE (Obviously Outlook Express) has removed the attachment)

I can put it on a CD and mail but it defeats the object of electronic correspondence.

Any ideas? anyone else had this restriction?

In OE, Tools/Options, Security tab, Untick "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus".

Hi Brambles,

If your recipient goes to his in_box and dble clicks the message, this should open a new window showing the email and the filename of the attachment; dble click this and you should get a dialog box asking whether to open or save.

Save to disc and then open in whatever prog is applicable.

Hope this helps.
