Remove Vista & reinstall XP Home

I am considering buying a new laptop that comes with Vista installed.

I would like to remove Vista and reinstall XP Home onto the laptop - which doesn't have a floppy drive.

We have a desktop Dell which came with a complete copy of XP home and would like to use this on the new laptop. Would there be any problems as regarding formatting etc?

Many thanks! ^_^

You are not allowed to use this copy on another machine, it will probably be an OEM version.

Can you elaborate on the term "OEM"?

Would programs such as Nikon Viewer and iTunes work on Vista?

Excellent! Thanks for the help! Would any version of iTunes (i.e.; ver.6) work, or would it have to be an up-to-date version?
