Bought an Hp laptop with preinstalled softwear on recovery disc (no actual win vista disc) my main desktop is running xp home and my wifes laptop. I dont like vista basic and would like to remove it and put on xp home. Is this going to be a problem and what is the best way to tackle it please.

First you need to download all XP drivers for the Laptop from HP site. Then think about changing it

Then you need a XP disk, can you use it on two computers?Ive been down this road, and found that Vista is far better, and honestly its not worth the effort to change.

You'll need a new, genuine disk & product key for the WinXP Home for installation on the new laptop - eBuyer do an OEM version for £52 delivered click here. G
