Hello,
I'm not a particularly competent computer user and have contracted an adware problem on my home computer. Once it is on can I remove it using Norton anti-virus or a similar piece of software? Or do I have to get a specialist adware removal program. Once removed will Norton then protect me from me infected again?
Many thanks.

If you can give us some more info, then somebody will let you know what to do.

What file is it??

i use spy bot search and destroy
its the best there is run it and then click immunize then it wont get on your pc again but you have to up date it once youve installed it i update mine once every two weeks
adware and spyware get on pc's because they arent protected but once spybot is on your pc a program called "teatimer" will run in the background and stops any nasties getting on your pc but the most important thing is to keep spybot updated
i hope this helps

Thanks wolfie. I'll give it a try. Does it have a link to its own upgrade page or do I have to search one out?
