Hi to all
I live in a rural area and cannot get broadband but my mother, who lives a few miles away can. If I subscribed to broadband at hers using my laptop is it possible to remotely access and control the laptop from my home PC (dial up modem) to start downloads, etc and then take the laptop home once a week to transfer all the downloads?
I have Win XP home on my PC and XP pro on the laptop.

Any help much appreciated

Yes you should be able to do it by using the remote assistance option but you would need to get your mother to call you via messenger to ask for help. The other option would be to use something like pc anywhere.
