What are the steps to remote access one of my computers on my home network?

(I'm new to this.) I am using a router at home and unable to remote access, using VNC software, from outside home network.

Thank you!

Nevermind. I just figured it out myself. I was using the wrong IP address to which to connect. Now I know to point to the WAN IP address. I also had to set my router to open the correct port, redirecting it to a private port. Hope that helps anyone else.

Good that you got it working.
You may have problems if you are on a dynamic ip address. If you are you could use a Dynamic DNS Service click here for one, google will give your more.

You could also use a service like "Log me in" click here for remote access.
