Remembering login/passwords

  bear73 14:20 15 Apr 05

I was wondering why some sites I visit regularly always ask me to enter my email and password everytime I go into them. Other sites where I have selected for it to "remember my details" do not require me to keep entering them.

There are a couple of sites where even when I log in and tick the "Always remember me" box it never seems to work, I always end up entering my details every time. I just wondered if there was a reason for this. I am very careful with my cookies and always delete them one by one, leaving the ones I know are sites I visit often.

Just wondered if anyone could shed any light.

Hi, I think we all experience this, same as you.
I think the answer is that some Sites are better written/coded than others - other than that, just one of the idiosyncracies of computing.
