I know most of reloading a fresh copy of xp home, booting from cd etc, what i need to know is when you get to the part about formatting, when there's 2 lines one with for example 3000mb, the other with nothing, do i delete and format the 3000mb part then load xp onto that, do i type in the same amount of disc space to use as the last, just don't understand this part, please help.

Is the 3000mb the size of the partition that XP is on currently?

What size is the total hard disk?

hard drive is 250gig, it's just when you get to the next screen saying choose which part to formatt, the one with the biggest part used (example 3000mb) or anything else, ive not started it yet so don't know what size it is, cheers
