Releasing extra RAM

  wrg 16:38 08 Mar 08

I had a previous post concerning upgrading my laptop from 2gb ram to 4gb. I understand that 32bit Vista systems will not address the whole 4gb, but I am aware you can do something to release this extra. Currently showing 3.25gb. Haveing read links etc it seems that in order to do this the cpu has to be able to address 64bit something or other. I know there is a way to get my system to recognise the full 4gb. Can my laptopn do this. I currently have a HP DV6710ea. It has AMD Turion(tm)64 x 2 mobile technology TL-60. Manufacturer : Mainboard details are as follows. Quanta
