Reinstalled XP but haven't got any sound.

I've run Everset and PC Wizard to find out what the motherboard is so I can reinstall the drivers and these are the results,

Motherboard ID 09/21/2006-P4M800P7MB-6A7L6FK9C-00

Mainboard Foxconn P4M800P7MB

I've looked on the Foxconn website but I'm unsure which drivers I need to download for Win XP.

Regards, Chris.

All the info for your mobo inc sound drivers are here:

You need the Realtec AC97 driver available free from the realtec website. Simply download the latest and save to say 'My Documents' and install. That should solve the problem for you.

Hope this all helps.

There are various Realtek AC 97 drivers, although the company seems to now concentrate only on updating high definition sound drivers.

The last "standard" Realtek driver (for most of its past chipsets) is A406.

By the way, you may need to Enable on-board/AC 97 sound again in the Bios.

Is it the 'On-Board Audio Drivers' - 'Audio Drivers for 32bit' link on the website that I need?

Regards, Chris.
