I am giving my old pc away, but for security reasons I need to delete windows and old stored software and reInstall a clean version windows XP.Whats the best way,I believe you can install via Amibios-by installing via CD Rom. is this correct and how do I do it?

Insert the WinXP installation disk and restart your system.

Look out for "press any key to boot from CD", and press a key when you see this (obviously). Now wait until the disk has been "booted" from and then follow the on-screen instructions to format and install Windows XP

If you ahve a full XP cd go into the bios and change the boot order to cd first put the disc in the drive and reboot and follow instructions and when it asks if you want to format first say yes if it is an older disc download and install SP2 or get a cd of it.Make sure that you have any drivers that XP won't have.
