Reinstall Windows Live Mail messages

I'm about to rebuild my PC and the only concern I have is reinstalling WLM and my messages.
When you export ones messages within WLM and follow the procedure it seems simple enough process, but is it as easy process to import them back from my saved location?
Does one save the messages from the stored location within WLM and then just copy and paste them back when PC rebuilt?

Please advise as I'm about to start...

You could do it either way. You can copy the store folder somewhere safe (maybe a USB drive), and then copy it back to its original location on the rebuilt computer. click here

Or you'll find an export and import function in the File menu. Export your messages in Windows Live Mail format to a folder on your USB drive (or anywhere safe).

Once your rebuilt PC is up and running, use the import function to copy them back into WLM again.
