Looking over Helpdesk I noticed RegSeeker recommend for cleaning up the Registry
I download it and ran it, it gives me the impression that I have 3344 invalid or not used entry in the Registry.

We all no the danger of tampering with the Registry but this is what came up do I leave them or delete them?

Some in Red
Extension not used
Unused “Open with “ entry
File not in use
Invalid application path

And in Green
Obsolete start menu item
File or path does not exist

I’m running Windows XP

Make sure RegSeeker is set to back up the registry and delete all of them.

I've used RegSeeker for years, and always deleted everything it reports with no ill effects.

3344 entries is possible for a first run. Might be a record, though! click here

You might want to consider running Registry Optimiser every few months - Freeware. click here

Regseeker can make mistakes and suggest user files for you to delete. A case in point, it sees all of my text fonts in Serif Plus as not associated with a programme when clearly they are, which I found out after deleting them.
